What is EPS?

Expanded Polystyrene Rigid Foam (EPS-Expanded Polystyrene Foam) is a typically white thermoplastic material with closed pores in foam form, obtained from petroleum by polymerization of styrene monomer.

Thermal conductivity values

The thermal conductivity calculation value of EPS boards varies between 0.033 W/mK and 0.040 W/mK. As the density increases, the thermal conductivity decreases.

General information

Since the inflator gas used in the production of EPS thermal insulation boards is replaced by air very quickly, the thermal conductivity of EPS thermal insulation boards reaches its final value after production and does not deteriorate over time; When they are used at the densities required by the application, there is no change in their thickness that will affect the thermal resistance. The most important advantages of EPS thermal insulation boards are that the thermal conductivity and thermal resistance remain constant throughout their lifetime.

It has disadvantages such as being heat resistant, burning easily and being a fire trigger, and its waste does not dissolve in nature for many years.

The biggest feature and innovation of these products is that our “clay-based” ecological material, which we developed and believed to be the “construction and industry material of the future”, is the basis and binder of the products. It combines very high adhesion strength and physical strength into a single structure, and transfers its non-flammability, physical durability, insulation, and decorative properties to the products we develop.

At the same time, thanks to the technique we have developed and applied to all our products, there is no “HEAT BRIDGE” in any of our products. No matter how good the material is, insulation will be inefficient if it contains thermal bridges.

MODULAR “DIY” EPS PANELS

Materials used: GreCer mineral binder we developed, recycled polyester felt (on front and back surfaces), Carbonized Pine timber (for panel casing)

In the structure of these panels, which are produced for temporary use in natural disasters; EPS foam, non-porous clay and geopolymer-based non-porous GreCer (click for more information about the material) materials developed by our company were used as surface and filling. The main body that forms the panel is made of carbonized, natural-resistant pine wood. Recycled polyester felt is used under the GreCer layer on the outer surface and on the inner surface. Thus, the resistance of the panel against sudden and hard mechanical impacts has been increased to an extraordinary extent. Carbonizing the exposed surfaces of the tree to atmospheric conditions permanently prevents insects, caterpillars, fungus and mold spores from damaging the tree. In addition, carbonized wood fires up to three times longer than non-carbonized wood. In all our panels and construction technique, the interior surfaces facing the living area are covered with recycled polyester felt and GreCer is applied as a thin layer on top of it. This application creates a continuous non-combustible layer in the interior and definitively breaks the relationship of the wood in the panel cases with the interior. Thus, the wooden material used in the panels is protected against the possibility of fire that may occur indoors. The most important feature of these panels and the system is that within a few hours, they can create cabins and logistic spaces of the desired size, which are heat, sound, humidity, water proof, with healthy accommodation conditions.

This product group we have developed is a packaged kit that covers an area of 7.30m2 – 10.80m2 and 15.40m2, has a high above ground modular floor construction, side walls, and roof components, and will be kept ready for use in the warehouses of disaster response organizations in disassembled form.

+ They can be installed and put into use in the range of 1 hour to 2 hours, depending on their size.

+ It is much more rational than all solutions in the world markets with its storage in kit form, cost and very easy, fast installation that does not require expertise.

+ Metal and plastic are not included in its production. Since the front and back sides of the panels are covered with GreCer (please read the specifications in the relevant section), it is impossible for the natural conditions and the people to come into contact with EPS.

+ The continuous GreCer surface in the living area completely eliminates the dangers of fire and health problems that may arise from EPS.

+ Although it is thought that aesthetics and appearance are not important in disaster conditions, the aesthetic visuality that our product group will provide and the simple, albeit comfortable, dry and warm sheltering area in a short time will increase the morale and motivation of the disaster victims.

+ When disaster conditions improve and structures are no longer needed, structures can be disassembled again and put into storage.
